The Creative Zone is a partnership comprised of Family Day Care Services, the Peel District School Board, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, the YMCA of Greater Toronto, PLASP and the Region of Peel.

Visits are by appointment only (please see “Visiting the Creative Zone” below).

Teachers from the Peel District School Board, Kindergarten staff from the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board and child care operators in Peel are invited to visit The Creative Zone to see the hundreds of amazing materials that can enhance and expand their classroom resources.

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure!

Visiting The Creative Zone

We will be happy to provide you with detailed program information and a guided tour of The Creative Zone. Please bring bags and boxes with you for your new-found treasures! Staff ID is required.

Open for appointments, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM until 2:30 PM (we close at 3 PM sharp)
Visits are currently by appointment only.

Maximum number of visitors allowed at a time is 8
Visits are limited to 30 minutes per person
The Creative Zone is open all summer
We are closed on statutory holidays (and the week between Christmas and New Year)

Please note: Enter from the south-side door that faces Central Parkway. Follow the paved pathway from the parking area. Visitor parking is outside the fenced area. Cars parked inside the fence may be towed. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted inside The Creative Zone.

Sponsorship and Donations

Corporate sponsorship and individual donations help The Creative Zone research new donors of materials and expand services in the community. Becoming a corporate sponsor will increase your company profile in the community, support creative learning, enhance recycling opportunities and reduce landfill.

For businesses, The Creative Zone may be able to offer a cost-effective alternative for surplus product or materials destined for the garbage. Unsure if we could use your materials? Give us a call, and we’ll advise if we can offer your materials a new home! If it’s a match, we’ll arrange pick-up.

Individual donations to support The Creative Zone are gratefully accepted. A receipt for income tax purposes will be issued for donations of $20.00 or more.
