What a wonderful day to Get Out and MOVE!
On Saturday, October 3rd, 985 children, families, staff and community members joined us at the beautiful Kortright Centre for Conservation for another fantastic Get Out and MOVE for Family Day event!
With picture-perfect autumn weather and plenty of enthusiasm, the grounds came alive with laughter, discovery, creativity and connection as families explored everything the day had to offer.
From the rhythms of African drumming and Indigenous storytelling on Aki to wagon rides through the grounds, there was something to spark everyone’s curiosity. Families sampled fresh honey straight from the comb at Bee Space, built stick forts at Dens & Forts, and got creative making seed balls and clay creatures.
And, of course, our wonderful EarlyON teams shone once again, bringing their creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to making learning through play such a special experience for children and families.
Beyond the activities, the day was about something equally important—spending time together, connecting with nature, and celebrating the joy of being outdoors.
This wonderful day also reflects the ongoing commitment of OPEN DOORS, Family Day’s outdoor education initiative, to encouraging exploration, discovery and meaningful connections with nature. Get Out and MOVE is a celebration of that commitment in action!
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us, and to our dedicated staff, volunteers and activity partners whose energy and efforts helped make the day such a success.
We are especially grateful to our Gold Sponsor, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, LLP and our Silver Sponsor, Avron, for helping to make opportunities like this possible.
To all 985 of you who came out to MOVE with us—thank you for making this another day to remember!
