Before & After School Programs required to remain closed until Wednesday, February 10th

In consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, the Premier of Ontario announced today that the province is immediately declaring a second provincial emergency.  School closures in the City of Toronto, Peel Region and York Region (in addition to Hamilton and Windsor-Essex) have now been extended and schools will not be open for in-person instruction until Wednesday, February 10th.

As a result of this, and at the direction of the Ministry of Education, all Family Day Before & After School Programs are not allowed to operate for the duration of the school closures and will therefore be closed between now and Wednesday, February 10th.  At this point, our Before & After School programs are scheduled to reopen on Thursday, February 11th.  During the closure period, parents with children in these programs will not be charged any fees.

Please note that child care programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers will remain open and Family Day’s EarlyON programs will continue to provide virtual programming.
