Family Day Care Services is a non-profit organization with a long history of providing services to children and families. Family Day’s current Strategic Plan is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to meet the needs of our teams and the people we serve. It demonstrates our commitment to a modern, innovative, inclusive and responsive organization that puts children, families, and communities, first. We are seeking board members who can assist us in fulfilling our vision and mission.

We are seeking individuals with board experience in a number of key areas, including financial acumen, fundraising, marketing and corporate development.

| Required Financial Contribution | Board Members are encouraged to make a contribution to both the United Way and the organization’s annual fundraising campaign. |

| Experience in the community sector and an understanding of diverse communities are assets. | |
| The Board’s Nominations Committee will conduct a pre-screening call and a personal interview. | |

Family Day is a non-profit, charitable organization that has provided services to children and families for over 170 years. The agency has a strong legacy of innovation and was among the first organizations in Toronto to provide orphanages in the 1850s. Family Day was a leader in the development of supervised foster care in the 1920s and among the first in Ontario to develop day nurseries in the 1940s.
