New CEO appointment at Family Day
Toronto – The Board of Directors of Family Day Care Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Daley as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2019. Diane will succeed Joan Arruda who is retiring after 15 years of leadership.
Diane joined Family Day in 2007 and has considerable experience developing high-quality programs for children and families. As the Director of Development and Programs for the past 11 years, she has demonstrated strong leadership in planning and managing the organization’s numerous programs and services, and in forming partnerships across the region to facilitate positive outcomes.

Prior to joining Family Day, Diane was a Parent-Child Educator with Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, and worked with Macaulay Child Development Centre in various roles, including Child Care Centre Supervisor. Diane is a Registered Early Childhood Educator, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, has a Women Studies Undergraduate Certificate from York University, and attended Schulich’s Leaders Innovation Certificate Program.
Diane is a member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario and is a board member of the Home Child Care Association of Ontario.
