Social Inclusion at Family Day. At Family Day, inclusion is a state of mind which we continue to work towards. Inclusion means that we value everyone—all the similarities and all the differences. By welcoming everyone we all can learn to understand and respect each other better. We adapt the physical environment, creating more open spaces for children with mobility challenges and quiet spaces for children with autism. Our programs reflect the community’s diversity of languages, and we value the many staff members who can provide service in families’ home languages. Ongoing training and consultation services help provide staff with the skills to include children with diverse needs.
